Our newsletter keeps you informed about new yarns and colours, knitting kits, offers and events from Nature's Luxury.

What data we process. Your email address and, if you provide them, your first and last name, your chosen language and your newsletter preferences. To prove your consent, we store the date and time of your sign-up and of your confirmation, together with the IP address used at those moments.

Sign-up and confirmation. After signing up, you receive an email with a confirmation link. Your address is only added to our mailing list once you click this link (double opt-in). This ensures that nobody can sign up someone else's email address.

Legal basis. We send the newsletter on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep the proof of sign-up on the basis of our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate your consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR).

Measuring success. Our newsletters contain a small invisible image and links that pass through our own server. This tells us whether and when a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked; this information is linked to your subscription. We use it to improve our content. This measurement is part of your consent to receive the newsletter; you can only object to it together with the newsletter, i.e. by unsubscribing. Our email service provider does not carry out any open or click tracking of its own.

Email service provider. We send our newsletter through Mailjet SAS, 43 rue de Dunkerque, 75010 Paris, France, a company of the Sinch group. Mailjet processes your email address and the newsletter content solely on our behalf and according to our instructions; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Mailjet. According to Mailjet, the data is stored in data centres within the European Union (Germany and Belgium). For customer support and operations, Mailjet uses further sub-processors, including companies based in the United States (for example Mailgun Technologies, Inc.); access to your data from the United States can therefore not be ruled out. Such transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). The current list of sub-processors is available at https://sinch.com/legal/data-protection-agreement-sub-processors/. Mailjet also informs us when an email could not be delivered or was reported as spam; in that case we stop sending newsletters to that address.

Unsubscribing. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter, in your customer account under newsletter preferences, or by email to mail@naturesluxury.com. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Storage period. We use your data for the newsletter for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so that you no longer receive newsletters, and we keep the proof of your earlier consent for as long as necessary to defend against possible claims.

Help and reporting function

The "Help" button on every page lets you ask us a question or report a technical problem.

Data we process. The information you enter in the form: subject, message, category and, if you are not logged in, your name and email address. In addition, the following technical data is sent automatically: the address of the page you are viewing (without any access codes it contains), browser type and version, selected language, screen size, time zone and local time, and the technical error messages of that page.

Screenshot. If you wish, a screenshot of the visible part of the page is attached. This option is preselected and can be unticked before sending. Password fields are blacked out on the screenshot; the input fields of our payment service providers are not included. Before you send, the form shows you which data will be transmitted.

Purpose and legal basis. We process this data to answer your request and to fix technical errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or steps prior to entering into one, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in handling requests and in the proper operation of our website.

Protection against abuse. If you are not logged in, your browser solves a small computing task before sending (ALTCHA). No data is passed to third parties and no cookies are set. We also limit the number of requests per IP address; for this purpose the IP address is processed only briefly in our server's working memory and is not stored.

Retention and recipients. The screenshot and technical data are deleted 90 days after receipt. Your request itself is kept for as long as necessary to handle it or as required by statutory retention obligations. The data is stored on our server and accessed only by us. We are notified of your request by email, for which we use our email delivery provider.
