Paris-based French knitwear designer and knitting teacher Julie Dubreux is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after and creative voices in the international knitting scene!

Julie's love of knitting shines through in her distinctive, colourful designs, which are loved and knitted with enthusiasm all over the world. Her portfolio now boasts an impressive 125 designs, which have been published in Pom Pom Quarterly, Laine Magazine and Knit Now UK, as well as in collective books.

Julie is outgoing and dynamic – and at the same time a warm, inclusive instructor. She has been teaching knitting workshops at major international events for 10 years (Vogue Knitting Live in NYC, Barcelona Knits and Love Yarn Madrid in Spain, Knit Eat in France, Oslo and Bergen Strikkefestivals in Norway…).

Her experience as a high-school teacher enables her to teach groups of mixed skill levels in a way that ensures no one feels left out – and everyone goes home with new skills and a smile on their face!

1) Eye delight - Your favourite views, sights or reads? Colours, books, movies?
I'm a Jane Austen fan and I've watched The Devil Wears Prada more often than I'd care to admit.
I'll never say no to a hike in Les Vosges or the Lake District!

2) Close to the skin - What are your favourite feels/things to touch?
New yarn! I love squishing my new yarn babies, and smelling them too!

3) Balance - What puts your life in balance?
Knitting. It regulates my mood like nothing else!

4) Scent cloud - Favourite odours/smells/perfumes?
Mon Guerlain and Mademoiselle Coco. Also honeysuckle !

5) Tasty delights - Favourite tastes/flavours/food?
Anything my husband cooks! It usually involves spices and garlic, and it's always delicious!

6) Ear candy - Favourite songs, sounds and noises…?
Lady Gaga's pop, jazz or electro.
