En soie means in silk in French. Our lacy sheep wraps itself in lustrous silk. This is how this yarn received its name.
And the new Sheep en Soie is silkier and glossier than ever with 50% silk (versus 30% before) and 50% super fine merino from South Africa, giving this blend an incredible soft and velvety feel and a lustrous sheen.
We decided to launch this more than worthy successor, because the previous yarn could not be produced anymore to meet our requirements to be mulesing free.
