FAUVE - a stunning sweater by Heidi Kaiser!

Fauve is the French word for wildcat, such as a panther or a jaguar.

It is easy to imagine why Heidi chose this name for her design. For her sweater is without frills, elegant with smooth, straightforward lines.
Heidi designed Fauve to put the focus on the special character of the yarn and the colour. The design is deliberately held in a clear, pure manner, with refined details that ensure a flattering fit and a graceful look.

Fauve is knitted seamlessly from the top down and can be worked with sleeves as a sweater or sleeveless as a top or slipover. The length can easily be adjusted according to personal preference.

The pattern includes the instructions for the sweater as well as for the slipover.

For her Fauve, Heidi chose the colours Lys de Paris (C1) in La Parisienne and Fresh Laundry (C2) in Silk Divine.

C2: 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) (6, 7, 7) skeins Nature's Luxury SILK DIVINE, hand-dyed, 40% Kid Mohair, 60% Silk, approx. 240m/20g, in a colour of your choice.

Fauve Slipover:
C1: 2 (2, 2, 2, 2) (3, 3, 3) skeins Nature's Luxury LA PARISIENNE, hand-dyed, 100% Merino cablé superwash, approx. 460 m/100 g, in a colour of your choice.
C2: 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) (5, 5, 6) skeins Nature's Luxury SILK DIVINE, hand-dyed, 40% Kid Mohair, 60% Silk, approx. 240m/20g, in a colour of your choice.

One thread of La Parisienne is held together with one thread of Silk Divine throughout. If you prefer your Fauve without mohair, La Parisienne held double is an excellent alternative.

The given yardage is calculated for a lower body length of approx. 12in / 30cm and a sleeve length approx. 15in / 38cm.
Differences in gauge and yarn choice may affect the yardage needed.
