We are thrilled to be part of the book 52 Weeks of Shawls by Laine Magazine with this gorgeous shawl designed by Tif Neilan Handknits in NL's amazingly soft On Stage - Short Stories.
Tif finds Short Stories an absolute pleasure to knit with. This yarn is perfect with its fantastic stitch definition, bringing out the texture to the fullest.
Beautiful Silta is a symmetrical triangular shawl, inspired by the architectural lines of an ancient bridge – hence the name, which means “bridge” in Finnish.
Tif paired the dark blue with the dusty beige, reminding her of vintage – something cherished and loved. It felt like a combination to compliment many items in her wardrobe.
Tif chose the colours The Laughing Hippopotamus (MC) and Night Shift (CC) for her shawl.
My Silta is knitted in Red Pony (MC) and Nearer the Moon (CC).
